ABOUT US (me)
Hospitality Training Partnership in Scotland, is a privately run small training business.
I specilise in the new Licensing (Scotland) Act training and license apllications, Hospitality Training and IT application training.
2008 was an intensive year of helping to train people to obtain their Personal Licences and to assist owners in obtaining their Premises Licence.
I used the services or a self employed technician to produce technically and legally competant plans, from the information I provided. To date not one of our plans has been returned by the boards and we have produced over 60.
I trained over 100 people to the level of achieving their City & Guilds examination with which to apply for a Personal Licence, I achieved an 93% pass rate. English as a foreign language was the main reason for the small percentage failure, though 100% passed on their first re-sit.
I've been the Hospitality trade now for over 45 years, starting as a bell boy / porter and working through every department up to hotel manager. For those of you who think that's easy for a clever guy, bear in mind I repeated my 3rd year at school because I was considered to be thick (no PC in those days!), I sat my HCIMA at about 21 and my degree in IT at nearly 27, I've since achieved Post Grad qualifications and Teaching Qualifications.
